We are still on a high after an incredibly successful charity event held at the Heath Court Hotel last Thursday evening!
We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate 10 years of Martha V.
92 guests attended our event – the lucky ones who grabbed tickets before they sold out in 2 days! We were all welcomed with a choice of prosecco or orange juice. Then, we directed our guests to their tables which had been decorated beautifully with yellow tulips and floating candles.
We tucked into a three course meal, consisiting of cananpes for starters, salmon or vegetable tart for main and trio of desserts to finish. And what a delicious meal it was!
In between courses our fabulous models waltzed through the room to show off our Summer fashions. Themes included nautical casual-wear, racing fashion, wedding wear and gltizy evening wear. The team at Qi Spa in Cambridge were to thank for the stunning hair and makeup.
Most importantly, we were raising money for the amazing Make A Wish children’s charity. The charity grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We were thrilled to be joined by Sarah, a representative for the charity. Sarah spoke about the work of the charity and showed a short video of one child receiving his wish.
We held a raffle with all proceeds going to Make A Wish. The raffle prizes on offer were fantastic! £200 to spend on Frank Lyman, tickets to the Newmarket Races, a spa day at Qi Spa and a 3 course carvery at the Heath Court hotel were to name just a few. Congratulations to the lucky winners.
Following the meal and the raffle, the party began with Mickey Fordola singing a selection of classic soul tunes.
We have calculated a total of around £1300 raised for Make A Wish! So thank you to all who contributed to this amazing cause. Special mention to Price Bailey for their £100 donation and Martha’s Mum Helen for donating £500!
A huge thank you goes to the Heath Court Hotel, Acacia Marketing, Make A Wish, Qi Spa and Dean the videographer, for helping us put together this evening. It will certainly be one to remember!
